I am sure many of you have heard of the „law of attraction“ principle.
Confession… I have read lots of books and tried it myself, but its never really worked for me.
I am sure it works differently for everyone and to be fair, if I was the universe, getting mixed messages from a person like me, I d be like.. hell, girl – get your wishes straigt and then lets talk about this granting business again!
For me, it was a case of realizing that my brain was all over the place and that I had to work on my focus.
So, to get that focus on the inside, I decided to declutter the surroundings in my life, starting with my flat. Usually, half of the crap you have lying around all over your place is stuff you dont need. Lets face it – we go out and buy things, and they are what they are really – just things.
How cool would it be if we could limit ourselves to 5 essential things? Think about it? What would you save if you had to run out of a burning flat?
(For me its my cat, my notebooks, my laptop, my painting by my friend Noah and my camera.) Interessting thought, dont you think?
Having decluttered my place and thrown a lot of it out, I found my one and only scrapbook. I d forgotten about it completely and looking through it, it reminded me once again, of what I have always wanted in life. To be happy, travelling and eventually ending up living by the sea.
Its especially interessting to look back into it and checking if priorities have changed.
It doesnt matter if you make a vision board with clippings of newspapers, photos etc, or if you are making a vision / dream book. It serves the same purpouse – it declutters your mind. You write stuff down, you see things you like in newspapers and you subconsiously re organise your thoughts.
Its not magic really, its focusing on what you truly want in your life. Now, if you support the process with being a dancing, happy bunny and not thinking that everything in life is working collectivly against you, you can speed it up so much more. Since you are drawing all the good energy in and with it everything seems to fall into place. Yes, it is that easy.
Never forget, that you are the master of your happyness and that you decide if you wake up in the morning being happy or sad.
A little exercise I like to do if I am feeling down and in the dumps is saying thank you.
When you wake up in the morning, write down all the things you are grateful for. Trust me, that will get you back in the swing of things in no time!!
Life is beautiful. You just have to open your eyes to see it, its right there in front of you.
